Educators at NYSUT ELL conference share strategies for success

More than 100 educators from around the state gathered at NYSUT headquarters Wednesday, Feb. 27 to share the latest on strategies to help English Language Learners succeed. The NYSUT conference, "Collaborating for the Success of English Language Learners" included keynote speaker Susana Davidenko, associate professor of Mathematics Education at SUNY Cortland, plus work sessions on strategies to engage middle and high school ELLs in specific subjects. NYSUT Vice President Maria Neira said she hopes to offer the conference in other areas of the state.
