The AFL-CIO recently released a "fact sheet" to debunk the myths surrounding union-supported health care reform.

Contrary to popular myths, proposals in Congress will make health care more accessible, accountable and affordable. While NYSUT supports the aim of the reform, union leaders are at the table making sure working families' best interests are being met.

The AFL-CIO reports health care reform will stop insurance company abuses and hold down rising costs.

"Health reform means affordable care will be there for you, no matter what. If you lose your job, or your kid loses his. If you get sick. When you retire," the fact sheet explains.

Workers Independent News, an online labor newspaper, also has articles weighing in on the health care debate and debunking some of the more outrageous myths. Visit laborradio.org for radio broadcasts and articles on health reform.
