at the edge report

A survey released today by the New York State Council of School Superintendents validates what NYSUT has been saying for months: The devastating budget cuts imposed on public schools, exacerbated by an ill-conceived property tax cap law, is wreaking havoc on public education and our students.

As the superintendents' report clearly shows, a $1.3 billion cut over three years means larger class sizes, fewer academic options and job losses in the thousands.
