Conference Theme: "Prevention, Preparedness, Response and Recovery"
On behalf of the NYSUT Task Force on Health and Safety, we invite you to attend the 2013 NYSUT Health & Safety Conference to be held March 1-2, 2013 at the Saratoga Hilton in Saratoga Springs.
The tragic events of Superstorm Sandy and the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting remind us how important workplace health and safety is for our members and the public we serve. In light of this, the 2013 Health and Safety Conference planners have acted to ensure that many of the great workshops offered have content related to these events. The program includes a wide range of workshops relevant to local leaders and health and safety activists.
CONFERENCE FEE
NYSUT pays for 50% of members' conference-related costs. This allows us to keep fees lower, allowing many locals to attend. After NYSUT's contribution, conference registration fees for individual participants are:
Room Occupancy/Cost (per person)

Single: $240

Double: $205

Commuter: $165
These prices cover conference materials, Friday night lodging, dinner and a reception on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
TRAVEL
Participants/locals are responsible for transportation costs and miscellaneous expenses. Any personal charges on the hotel bill must be paid by the individual at check-out.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Registrations must be received by January 25.
UPDATE: We have extended the deadline for conference registration to Thursday, Feb. 7. We are unable to guarantee housing for registrations received after the deadline. Substitutions may be made but we are unable to issue refunds for cancellations made after the deadline.
