Are you or do you know an exceptionally skilled and passionate educator who would like to be the next New York State Teacher of the Year?
The deadline for applications is March 29.
Anyone can nominate a pre-K-12 teacher who has at least five years of service and plans to continue being a teacher. The review process is rigorous, including a portfolio application, a variety of recommendation letters, site visits and committee interviews.
The 2014 Teacher of the Year would be named in September and would be in the running for 2014 National Teacher of the Year.
