Stay warm. Stay safe. And speak out!

On this raw, wintery, white-out day, you can make your voice heard and let lawmakers know that we expect them to stand up to the governor, stand with parents and educators, and defend our outstanding New York public schools!

Do you have two minutes to make a quick phone call and deliver that message?

Take action now at the NYSUT Member Action Center to call your state senators and deliver a critical message in support of our public schools!

The governor's proposals for public education reflect a "bigfoot" approach: an attempt to centralize power over public education in Albany and strip away local control from parents and their local, democratically elected school boards.

His unfair attack on teachers is a distraction from what our students need.

Take action now at the NYSUT Member Action Center to call your state senators and deliver a critical message in support of our public schools!

Your top priorities today should be to stay safe and warm. Beyond that, take action and help us deliver the message to our state senators that we will not stand for the governor's outrageous attacks on teachers nor his attempts to dismantle New York's public schools.

In solidarity,

Andrew Pallotta
NYSUT Executive Vice President

P.S.: Call your state senators and help us defend public schools!
