After relentless rains pounded the Houston area, catastrophic flooding has devastated thousands of homes. Texas AFT has seven local unions in the area and thousands of members, many of whom have had their homes flooded, their cars damaged and other financial hardships caused by the deluge.
NYSUT has a long history of assisting members in need through the NYSUT Disaster Relief Fund. It’s time to step up and answer the call for help again. The goal is to raise several thousand dollars quickly so that we can provide direct relief to affected members.
