ALBANY, N.Y. Jan. 11, 2017 — New York State United Teachers today released the following statement on Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s proposal to extend the Empire State Excellence in Teaching Awards program:
“We support programs, like the Empire State Excellence in Teaching Award, that invest in professional learning. We look forward to collaborating with the governor to expand opportunities for teachers to engage in their own professional development.”
