ALBANY, N.Y. Jan. 23, 2019 — New York State United Teachers President Andy Pallotta released the following statement today regarding passage of the Jose Peralta New York State DREAM Act, which NYSUT has long advocated for:
“The DREAM Act will unlock new opportunities for immigrant students who seek to continue their education and pursue their version of the American Dream. NYSUT applauds the Legislature for approving this bill and looks forward to seeing the governor sign it into law.”
