Support the Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Bond Act
The Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Bond Act is on the Nov. 8th ballot. And NYSUT encourages members to vote yes!
The measure gives New Yorkers a once-in-a-generation opportunity to protect clean water, update sewer infrastructure and improve our quality of life statewide.
Bond improvements include:
- At least $500 million for zero emission school buses
- At least $400 million for green buildings, energy efficiency or renewable energy at state-owned properties, SUNY/CUNYs, community colleges and public schools
- More than 1.4 billion for disadvantaged communities, which are disproportionately impacted by pollution.
- Supporting 84,000 jobs in New York state.
