SOUNDS OF WELLNESS
A Virtual Black History Month Celebration
Tuesday, February 28, 2023. 5:30 p.m.

Join us here online Tuesday, February 28 for a special NYSUT Black History Month "Many Threads, One Fabric" event to learn about the impact of music on emotions, mental health, and wellness. Gain a deeper awareness of the power that sounds of wellness possess to change our hearts, homes, communities, workplaces and the world. Be reminded about the power that music played in the journey to freedom by enslaved Africans. And walk away with tools and resources to help you incorporate music in your daily life to manage stress and diminish emotional states like fatigue so you can thrive.

Facilitated by NYSUT Secretary Treasurer Philippe Abraham, this event features music creators and sounds of wellness believers who have written and produced for Rihanna, John Legend and Jennifer Lopez, to name a few.

Our guests include:

Angélique Cinélu; Brian Kennedy; Curtis Richardson of One Campus/ One Note; Children’s Book Author Tia Spells and guest speaker Leven Chuck Wilson, Assistant Director of Health Issues for the American Federation of Teachers.
