With the holiday season fast approaching, consider the value of buying American products when choosing gifts. It can be as direct as asking for goods that are made in the USA at local stores, or shopping online from specific sites geared to products made in America.

When you buy American, you support American workers, safe working conditions and American manufacturers. You help to keep the American economy growing. When purchasing American products, you are honoring the minimum wage workers deserve.

Keep in mind that foreign product safety standards are often low. For example, toys shipped to this country have been found with poisonous levels of lead. Many countries also do not have environmental pollution controls.
