Reward a classroom

Staples has launched a program to help parents earn extra rewards for the educator and classroom of their choice whenever they shop. Staples already offers programs for parents and teachers to earn 5 percent back in rewards on their purchases.

With the new Reward A Classroom program, educators may earn an additional 2 percent back on regular purchases and 5 percent on Staples Copy & Print purchases. Visit for more information.

Promote safe teen driving

High schools can register online to participate in Celebrate My Drive, a campaign sponsored by State Farm to promote safe teen driving and to celebrate the 2013 class of new drivers.

Events, online activities and community messages promoting safe driving will take place during National Teen Driver Safety Week, Oct. 18-26. Schools that register have a chance to win a $25,000 grant, a $100,000 grant or a hometown concert by Grammy Award winner Kelly Clarkson.
