Educating about cancer
Scholastic and the Livestrong Foundation offer free health and language arts resources geared toward educators and parents. The LiveSTRONG at School curriculum, available in English and Spanish, offers online lesson plans and student printables for grades K–12 to help teach students about cancer in a way that is age-appropriate, inspiring and empowering. The site also offers access to "Re-Mission 2: Fight cancer and win!" a game that puts players inside the human body to fight cancer with an arsenal of weapons and superpowers, like chemotherapy, antibiotics and the body's natural defenses.
