The one-woman show invites audiences to spend an intimate hour with President Carter's mom. Swarbrick, a broadway veteran, stars in the show. Shawn Jasinski, United University Professions UAlbany chapter, was named the 2016 Commencement Torch Night Professor. Each year, graduating seniors bestow this honor on one professor each year who has a significant impact both academically and personally on students. Jasinski is a lecturer in the Writing and Critical Inquiry department.

Michele Simonetty, Dover Wingdale Teachers Association, was selected to present on co-teaching at the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE) national conference in October. Simonetty is an elementary level special education teacher and an adjunct professor at Marist College.

Susan Rubenstein DeMasi, Faculty Association of Suffolk County Community College, has written Henry Alsberg: The Driving Force of the New Deal Federal Writers' Project.
