Educators from across New York State  will be all-stars when the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown  celebrates NYSUT members during the Hall of Fame Classic in May.
As a special  thank you for their commitment to public education, the HOF is offering NYSUT  members buy one, get one free tickets.
NYSUT members  can purchase up to six regular-priced Classic tickets and receive six tickets  of equal value. Tickets for the Hall of Fame Classic are $12.50 for first- and  third-base seats and $11 for general admission outfield seats. The Classic,  the annual legends game at historic Doubleday Field, takes place at 1:05 p.m.  Saturday, May 28, with a special recognition for NYSUT members during the  game. A home run contest begins at noon.
Hall of Famers  Phil Niekro and Ozzie Smith return as team captains and managers. They will be  joined by four Hall of Famers: Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandberg and two more to be  announced. Each will serve as coaches for the teams. The full roster of Classic  players will be announced later this spring.
Players  already committed to appear at the 2016 Hall of Fame Classic include: Michael Barrett (Nationals),  Brandon Backe (Astros), Travis Hafner (Indians), LaTroy Hawkins (Twins), Torii  Hunter (Angels), Terrence Long (Athletics), Juan Pierre (Marlins), Kerry  Robinson (Cardinals), Aaron Rowand (White Sox), Andy Sonnanstine (Rays),  Alfonso Soriano (Yankees), Ryan Spilborghs (Rockies), Tanyon Sturtze (Blue  Jays), Alan Trammell (Tigers) and Steve Woodard (Brewers).
