Retiree council leaders got a pep talk from the presidents of both the New York State Alliance for Retired Americans and the national organization at the leader conference preceding NYSUT's annual convention.
ARA President Robert Roach Jr. encouraged retirees to support pro-worker candidates in the November elections. "It's time to clean house in the U.S. Senate and the House, and to elect a Congress willing to work with the president," he said.
