Life saver
Once saved by a good Samaritan after a terrible motorcycle accident, United University Professions member Richard Glaser, pictured below, an IT professional staff manager at SUNY Stony Brook HSC, became a rescuer himself. While still recovering from a neck injury, he came to the aid of a young woman whose car went off the road and down a hill. He pulled the injured woman away just before the car exploded in flames. SRP Day winners
The Fort Plain and Hauppauge teachers associations really know how to make folks feel appreciated. The locals were declared winners of NYSUT's School-Related Professionals Recognition Day contest for the creative ways they thanked SRPs for all they do for their colleagues, students and schools.
