The Northeast Area Consumer Price Index for January 2013 was 247.277 — representing a change of 1.8 percent over the index for January 2012.
The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for January 2013 was 254.807 — representing a change of 2.2 percent over the index for January 2012.
The February CPI will be available March 15, 2013.
Future projections of the CPI by businesses and economic organizations are found on page 3. CPI increases are projected at 1.9 percent for 2013 and 2.1 percent for 2014.
