The United States City Average Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) for April 2013 was 232.531 representing a change of 1.1 percent over the index for April 2012.
The Northeast Area Consumer Price Index for April 2013 was 248.464 - representing a change of 1.1 percent over the index for April 2012.
The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for April 2013 was 255.967 - representing a change of 1.4 percent over the index for April 2012.
The May CPI will be available June 18, 2013.
Future projections of the CPI by businesses and economic organizations are found on page 3. CPI increases are projected at 1.7 percent for 2013 and 2.0 percent for 2014.
