The United States City Average Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) for October 2014 was 237.433 representing a change of 1.7 percent over the index for October 2013.
The Northeast Area Consumer Price Index for October 2014 was 252.730 — representing a change of 1.4 percent over the index for October 2013.
The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for October 2014 was 260.5000 — representing a change of 1.3 percent over the index for October 2013.
The November CPI will be available December 17, 2014.
Future projections of the CPI by businesses and economic organizations are found on page 3. CPI increases are projected at 1.7 percent for 2014 and 1.8 percent for 2015.
