The United States City Average Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) for February 2021 was 263.014 — representing a change of 1.7 percent over the index for February 2020.

The Northeast Area Consumer Price Index for February 2021 was 276.473 — representing a change of 1.2 percent over the index for February 2020.

The New York-Northern New Jersey Area Consumer Price Index for February 2021 was 286.474 — representing a change of 1.4 percent over the index for February 2020.

The March CPI will be available April 13, 2021.

Future projections of the CPI by businesses and economic organizations are found in the complete document. CPI increases are projected at 2.4 percent for 2021 and 2.1 percent for 2022.
