The Board of Regents has proposed regulations that will extend the existing waiver from the 900/990 instructional hour requirement with some noteworthy modifications for 2022-23.
Districts will now be required give a specific cause for the inability to meet the hourly requirement.
The current waiver only required an attestation from the District that they could not meet the instructional hour requirement due to their reopening plan.
These regulations will be published in the State Register for a 60 day comment period.
