Carol King-Grant

Carol King-Grant was only in her fourth year as a 6th-grade special education teacher at Mott Hall Science and Technology Academy in the South Bronx, but her loss will leave a huge void, according to her co-workers.

Among her interests outside of the classroom were gardening, playing soduku and reading. Carol was also an avid coin collector. She was adept at interior decorating and a skilled singer.

Carol was a member of the Liberty Bible Fellowship Church in Ozone Park, Queens, and a supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

She is survived by her husband, Mervyn Grant; her son, Mervyn Grant Jr.; seven siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
