A cornerstone of our work!
Through the Many Threads, One Fabric initiative, we offer workshops that build unity and solidarity within locals, campuses, and workplaces of NYSUT members. Our unique program not only offers workshops but also has members become paid facilitators. We build the leadership of NYSUT members by giving them the chance to facilitate each of our workshops across New York State.
How it Works:
- In-Service and Retiree members must first attend any one of our workshops as a participant.
- Members must then join a Training of Trainers event, which is regularly held through the NYSUT Social Justice Department.
- Once you are a trained facilitator, you then receive access to the training materials and are eligible for a stipend every time you teach! Travel and hotel expenses are also
covered if facilitation requires.
